Meet Godfrey

Godfrey Birth date: 6th March, 2006 Godfrey was only one-year-old when he was abandoned by his mother. Coupled with hardships, Godfrey’s mother decided to take him to their nearby hospital where she would meet with other mothers who had brought babies for immunization. She asked one of the ladies to hold Godfrey for her as she visited the bathroom and then disappeared. A good Samaritan took Godfrey to a Police station and reported the matter. Police took him in and handed him over to Huruma referral hospital in the neighborhood. It is from Huruma hospital that Godfrey was transferred to CNCC. This sudden departure of his mother was of great anguish to him.  He cried a lot at the beginning, but as time passed he settled down and he warmed up to the Nuns and staff at CNCC.
