Meet Isaac & Jacobi

Isaac

Jacobi

Jacobi and Isaac
Birth date: 27th April, 2005
Jacobi and Isaac are not identical twins; in fact one would not know they are related. Jacobi is light and chubby while Isaac is dark and skinny. The boys were among the first children to arrive at the CNCC in September 2006. The twin’s father died from AIDS and their mother suffers from mental illness. As soon as the husband died and she discovered he was infected by the virus, she became inconsolable and her mental health problems worsened. She favored Jacobi so she took better care of him by feeding him better. However, she fed the boys with all sorts of garbage from rubbish pits and they would get sick. On a visit to the local dispensary one day Sister Mary, a nurse at the dispensary, witnessed how the boys were suffering and how they were fed with garbage from the streets. She reported the matter to the Social Welfare Officer who organized for them to be taken in at the Huruma district hospital. It is from here that the boys were later transferred to CNCC. Isaka likes to play with the small babies and he is a very curious little boy.
