Semen is from Mamba village in Kilimanjaro. Semen who is physically handicapped comes from a family of two. Both her parents died leaving her and her sister to be taken care by their grandmother. The Social Welfare Officer identified Semen as a case that needs help and she was brought to the CNCC to be cared for.  Semeni is a cooperative child and likes helping the Nuns look after the little babies.
